New Puppy.

Today was our first day with our new family member, Bo. He is a very very cute thing but don't let his looks fool you he is quite the handful. He slept in my arms all the way home and was super mellow. That all changed once we got home. He was a very curious little thing. He really enjoys biting. Biting fingers, toes, arms, hair and whatever he can get his paws on. Even my older dog Barkley is scared of him for he keeps nipping at him too. We learned that Bo absolutely hates the cold. Which I don't blame him. He refuses to go pee outside, so he pees in the house. In order to get him to even go outside you must carry him out. He has learned to pick up the word "naughty" quite quickly and is slowly learning what he can and can't do. He is a very sleepy puppy though. He is always constantly yawning and sleeping. Bo LOVES cuddling with people! He is very different from Barkley when he was a puppy. But like Barkley and most puppies he will learn and no doubt be a won

Barkley!

About Barkley: This is my big happy black lab, Barkley! He has been a huge part of my life for 9 years now! He was born on Christmas. Although his age is getting up there he still acts like a big puppy! Barkley is a gentle giant. Everyones reaction when seeing him is "He's HUGE!" and he is! Although huge, Barkley is a big baby! He wouldn't hurt a fly...in fact he is terrified of flies! This dog is scared of many things such as car rides, baths or water in general, flies, stairs, vacuums and many more things. I wouldn't have him any other way though. He is super nice and friendly. He loves greeting everyone that walks into the house, but people who don't know him might be a little terrified at first because of his large size and big bark! Barkley is a very lazy dog and loves scraps and frisbees. This dog is like a goat, there is nothing he will not eat! Barkley is my best friend and don't know what I would do without him. Poem: Obsession.

About This Poem:  This poem is about someone who is always fighting be be noticed. Noticed by who? Noticed by her peers. She is obsessed with trying to fit in and stand out. She wants the boy to notice her, the popular girls to notice her. She spends all her time focused on how to make herself noticeable. She doesn't care that this constant worry is hurting her physically, mentally and emotionally. I wrote this poem because I think in today's world a lot of young girls and boys can relate to this, especially in high school. We worry about being cool and fitting in so we might change ourselves, how we act, what we wear and the decisions we make. All to please people who really don't care about us, our wellbeing and appreciate us and our worth. Thats why in the end of the poem it simply states that one day you will come to regret obsessing over what other people think of you. That you should go out and live your life how you want to. Be who you want to! Don't spend you

Poem: Kisses

This was written super late at night, actually the same night I decided to create this blog. For Christmas my parents got me a cute book called Write The Poem. In this book you are given a subject and 8 words that must be in your poem. This is how I came up with this poem! The subject was kisses. The picture used in the background was also taken by me. About the poem: This poem is about a girl who is remembering about this boy she use to be with and what it was like to kiss him. There kisses were something she would often would daydream about, as stated in the poem it was a passion she had. She is obviously heart broken because this boy had left her with these kisses and words he spoke that she thought he meant but turns out he didn't. So for this poem I decided not to take kisses so literal and write how they feel and things like that. Instead I made a story that surrounded the subject of kisses. Kisses between lovers. I hope you enjoyed!

Poem: Hi, I'm Society.

Background:  This poem is what started everything off for me. My senior year of high school I was approached by my creative writing teacher asking me to produce a piece of writing to be entered into a contest. This writing could have been a long or short story any type of poem. To be honest I wasn't to fond of the idea. I knew I was a good writer but for a contest? I told her I would think about it. I went home that night and watched some poem readings on YouTube to get some inspiration. Once I felt inspired I started typing. I hammered this poem out in a matter of 10 minutes. I was very proud of this piece for I think it relates to a lot of young people. I read it to my mom and she loved it, she said it was very powerful and true. I ended up submitting this to my teacher, and she along with other english teachers loved my piece. My piece along with some others in my class had got chosen to be published into the All Conference Writers Magazine. We also got to go to a reading a
